Obituary
June 1, 1931 – June 14, 2019
While these two dates are important, the most important part is the dash and how June (Mommy) lived her dash.
Born and raised in Washington, DC she lost her mother at a young age. When her father could not care for her and her sister Dorothy they were sent to a Catholic orphanage growing up there. She married and had two children, Catherine and David. Her Catholic faith stayed with her throughout her life. After divorcing in 1993 she moved from their farm in Waldorf, MD to Beaufort, NC. There, she became very active in the parish of St Elbert’s Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. In 2017 she moved to Florida to be with her daughter and husband Frank, She enjoyed fun activities like scooter riding, church going at St Gerard’s, sight seeing and going for ice cream, and tending to her beloved cat Penny. She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy, mother and father. She is survived by her children Catherine and David, granddaughters Sandy, Debbie and Casilda, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, half siblings Rose and and Frankie.
So this is June’s (Mommy’s) dash and how she lived it. Loved by all, missed by many.
