Obituary

Karen Ann Matani, 55, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023.  She was born in Titusville, Florida to Ronald Paul and Susan June Hertz, both now deceased.  Karen was a Deli Manager for Winn Dixie.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge.  She also enjoyed music and was a talented piano player and played the clarinet as well.  Karen was a voracious reader, enjoyed flea markets and loved the ocean.   Karen was most proud of her children and family and will always be remembered for her outstanding work ethic.

Survivors include her husband Tony Matani Sr, son Tony Matani Jr., daughter Danielle Matani and sister Anne Marie McClelland.

Karen’s life will be observed in a Private Family Memorial, her final resting place is in Juno Beach, Florida.

    Karen, I love you more than words can say. You have been my best friend for 25 years. It’s hard to believe all that has happened over the past year. I’m blessed to have had you as such an important part of my life and as part of our family.
    I’ll meet you at Juno Beach again one day. We can have some “beach sprite” and reminisce.
