Obituary

Karen Leann Woosley of Altamonte Springs, FL passed away March 7th at Orlando Health Hospital in Orlando, FL after a long hospital stay.
Karen was born September 2nd 1971 in Winchester, KY to Jackie Elam Woosley and Paul Edward Woosley who is deceased. After living for a few years in Winchester, she moved with her family to Ft. Myers where she grew up with her two brothers, Paul David Woosley and Steven Joe Woosley. She became a LPN and worked in the drug clinic in Ft. Myers. Later she moved back to West Liberty and worked at the nursing home in West Liberty and then at the clinic in Sandy Hook, KY. She got pulmonary hypertension in 2009 and moved back to Florida to live with her mom. Pulmonary hypertension is a rare disease with no cure and is high blood pressure between the heart and the lungs. Please go to http://PHAssociation.org for further information.
In addition to her brothers and their families, she is also survived by her son Justin Coffey and daughter Jessica Coffey Santiago. Justin lives in Winter Park, FL with his girlfriend Chelsea Henson and their son Jaxson. Jessica Coffey Santiago lives with her husband Andrew Santiago in Georgetown, KY and has two children, Landon and Leah. The grandchildren were the light of her life. Her grandmother on both sides of her family are still living, Hallie Woosley from Irvine, Ky and Inge Elam from West Liberty along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Karen requested not to have a funeral and wanted to be cremated. If you would like to leave a message for the family, you can go to https://baldwincremation.com/category/obituaries/. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Pulmonary Hypertension Association at http://PHAssociation.org to help find a cure for this dreadful disease or to Caring Voice Coalition at http://www.caringvoice.org/ who help patients with the enormous cost of the medicine pulmonary hypertension patients need.
