Obituary

Renate (Brinck) Astwood, of 1043 Oak Forest Circle, Port Orange, FL passed away    9/11/17     at Halifax Hospice In Port Orange. She was born 5/26/40 in Dortmund, Germany to Joseph and Ida (Pelz) Brinck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Norman Astwood and her sister, Christel E. Ecker. She is survived by her stepson Norman Astwood, his wife Kristy (Chillicothe, IL) and a niece, Amrei Ecker Ungaro (Las Vegas, NV) and her husband Lawrence. Also surviving are three granddaughters; Lara (Mathew) Biggs of Evanston, IL, Jennifer (Timothy Dolan) Astwood of Menominee, WI, and Heather (Jeremy) Brunner of Chicago, IL. She also has five great granddaughters and one great grandson. Renate was known for her love of gardening and her enjoyment of needlework and crafts. She worked professionally as a bookkeeper and accountant. A memorial service will be held at Westminster By The Sea Presbyterian Church, Daytona Beach Shores, on October 14th at 9:30 AM.
