My father was born to in Germany, he lived on land which had been in his family for over 300 years. The house he grew up in was 300 years old. He chose to come to America after his family and country was devastated during world war 2. Feeling a great debt to the U.S. military he joined the army as soon as he arrived in America. He spent his life in service to the U.S. in both active duty and as a civilian working for the government. He was a decorated war hero, a wonderful father and a kind friend to all that had the opportunity to meet him.
