It was a wonderful day when our families met 40 years ago in Thornwood.
Our purpose was for our kids to have someone to play with; as it turned
out, Fred and Ron became playmates too. We share so many great memories.
Kathi, your sincerity in everything you accomplished was amazing. You inspired everyone you met with your love and kindness. We have been blessed and honored
to have been a part of your life. We will miss you.

When we moved to our home almost nine years ago, Kathleen welcomed us to the neighborhood with open arms. She and Fred both had such a zest for life, and their love for each other was so wonderful to be around. We had so much fun doing the Christmas decorating competition together. Kathleen had such a positive attitude with her fight against cancer and was one of the strongest people I have ever known. God bless Kathleen.....you will be missed.....

Kathleen is one of the strongest people I have ever known. She is also one of the nicest people- that I have ever crossed paths with. I will miss her so much. She was very thoughtful and compassionate. She always went out of her way to smile and ask how you were doing. Very genuine and so caring. Fred and the entire family- are all in my thoughts.

Kathleen and Fred are the former owners of the wonderful home we purchased from them 2 years ago. Such love and care demonstrated throughout the property. I e-mailed Kathleen often with questions about plantings, etc., and she so graciously answered with detail and caring. She made an impact on us in a very short time. What a loss for her family and friends.

Kathleen was a sweet, gentle and kind woman. I met her through her daughter Alison. While we only met her a few times, it feels like we have known Kathleen forever. Her smile would light the room and her love filled our hearts. She always was positive and loved her family and friends. Kathleen, you will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to all of Mrs. Hoffman's family. My heart hurts for all of you as you face a world without this amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Mrs. Hoffman was always so kind and gracious to me whenever I was visiting with Alison. I especially remember seeing her at Alison's wedding. She was wearing a green dress, I think, and she was dancing an Irish jig with such beauty, grace, and unrestrained joy! I remember thinking, "Wow, she is some kind of amazing lady!" Again, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Kathleen was one of the kindest, sweetest, most genuine people I have ever known. She always treated me like family and was genuinely intetested in other people and their lives. The world was a better place with her in it. You will always be in our hearts.
