Kathleen M. Roach 69 passed away peacefully in her home on November 19, 2014. She
was born on August 15, 1945 in Washington D.C. the only child of her parents John J.
Roach and Dolores J. Roach who preceded her in death in 2006 and 2010. Kathy leaves
behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends in Volusia and Orange counties
who will remember her fondly. .
In Washington D.C. Kathy worked for AT&T and the law offices of Robert Gadeaux
before moving to Orlando Florida in 1988. There she started Kritter Home Care a pet
sitting service and in 1993 she decided to move to New Smyrna Beach and was the
operator and owner of O'My Kennels for over 20 years which boarded dogs and cats. In
addition Kathy loved horses and provided personal care for several on her property.
Many in the community have used her services and respected her love of animals and the
excellent care and services she provided.
Kathy raised and owned many German Shepard dogs over the years and won many
awards here and in Washington D.C. In 1995 Kathy was a Director and Vice President of
the German Shepard Club of Daytona Beach serving in various officer positions until
1998.
Her family and friends want to especially thank the American Geriatric Care Group team
who provided loving and supportive care during the last several months.
In lieu of flowers her family and friends suggest you may leave donations to your local
Humane Society or pet rescue services in Kathy's memory. There will be a celebration of
her life at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach on December 4, 2014 at 2:00PM.
