Obituary

Kathy Marie Diehl, 64, of Beverly Hills, Florida, went to be with her Lord Jesus on October 25, 2022 at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL.

She was born on January 25, 1958 to Elmer and Hazel Aude in Elkhorn, WI. Kathy grew up in Beloit, WI, where at the age of 16, she gave her whole heart to Jesus Christ as both her Lord and Savior. Her relationship to her heavenly Father, His Son Jesus and the indwelling Holy Spirit would direct the course of the rest of her life.

Kathy married Rick Diehl on November 26th, 1997 in Rockford, IL. She always greeted people with a smile and a genuine complement. Her laughter was contagious. She loved to worship her God and tell the story of His saving grace, mercy and great love for His children and the lost.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents. Survivors include her husband Rick of Beverly Hills, FL, a sister Connie (Kenneth) Fairbert of Beloit, WI; children in her heart Jason (Bethany) Diehl of Janesville WI, their children Abbey and Paige; Barbara Diehl of Fort Atkinson, WI and her children Dakota (his daughter Isis), Guhner, Kenny and Victoria; nieces DeAnn (Charles) Johnson and Kelly (Tom) Drew.

It was Kathy’s wish not to have a funeral service, noting that it would be a great expense to travel from Wisconsin to Florida, for all her loved ones, but those who so desired could simply celebrate her life and promotion to heaven! She will be missed here, but not forgotten.

My dear Kathy...you were such an inspiration in my life as well as everyone you met. I miss you so much...your sweet & loving spirit...your beautiful smile...your laugh...your kindness & love. I am so blessed to have had you in my life and can't thank you enough for the love and care you gave to my cuz while here with us all. So......go rest in peace and enjoy life ever after, no more tears or pain...just happiness and laughter. Go to the dock where Jimi will wait, the boat is gassed and in the cooler is bait. Go now...have fun and laugh lots for me, and someday I'll join you in eternity. That day when there is no darkness or dawn, the day that the good Lord allows our friendship to go on. But my work here is not done, I have lots left to do, before I can soar in the sun with you. Yes, go now my angel, and fly far above, thanks for the memories and all of your unconditional love. As you are sailing with the breeze in the sun, remember that I love you and "girls just want to have fun". I love you Kathy...you will be forever missed in my life and in my heart.

We miss you so much Kathy! Your voice, your laughter and beautiful spirit during our phone calls. Thanks for making my brother happier than I've ever seen him for the past 25 years. We know you're beyond ecstatic being in our Lord's presence. One day soon each of us will surprise you when it's our turn to join our Lord in heaven! Until that day...

    Love,
    Ed & Rhonda
