Obituary

Kazmir Stanley Waskiewicz (“Snooky”) at the age of 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at his home in Fort Myers, Florida.

Snooky worked at Bristol Myers in Hillside, NJ in production and maintenance until he retired in 1993.  He also played the drums at the Union Hofbrau for 30 years.  He was in the Army and served in Alaska before it became a State.  What a great experience it was.  He was also a member of the VFW, Elks and American Legion.

He was married to Virginia (Connolly) for 63 years.  They lived in south Plainfield, NJ for over 30 years and then retired and moved to Fort Myers, Florida.  While living in South Plainfield, Snooky was active in little league, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and bowling.

After moving to Florida in 1994, he was active in the local bowling league.  He was an avid boater and loved fishing and the great outdoors.  Another hobby he loved was feeding and watching the birds.  The Martins would arrive for his birthday in February and stay until May.  What fun!!!

He was preceded in death by his folks; John & Wanda (Drygulski) Waskiewicz and also his brother, John.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia and his two sons: Warren (Jill) Waskiewicz and Richard (Donna) Waskiewicz; plus his two grandchildren: Michael and Ryan.

There is no formal funeral service being planned at this time.  However, there will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to be held at a future date.
