Obituary
Born on 3.15.07, tragically, on 2.22.22 Keoni Kau lost his life way too soon. Son of Mistyblu Goodapple, stepdad Jason Goodapple, John Kau and stepmom Jessica Kau. Keoni is survived by his siblings Jacob and Janilee Goodapple, Slater Kau, as well as his step brother and sister Michael and Haile Smith. Keoni was a great brother to his siblings and was always concerned for their wellbeing. He met his soulmate Alyssa (Auggie) Stevens in 2021 who he loved unconditionally, even at the tender ages of 14 and 15 they knew true love. Keoni is survived by his grandfather John Schlueter Sr. and grandparents Debbie and Duane Long. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rebecca Rose Schlueter.
Keoni was a very inspiring, loving young man. He touched so many lives of so many others through his caring and giving heart. Keoni was for sure a Mama’s boy. He continuously was his Mama’s biggest cheerleader as she continues her nursing career. As a family, Keoni enjoyed being in the kitchen and making Keoni style messes with his little sister Janilee. Keoni enjoyed visiting his dad John, and spending time with his step mom brother and sister. He loved to soak up the sun by being outdoors fishing, skateboarding, swimming, and riding his bike. Keoni loved his dog Punch, they enjoyed exploring trails and being best buds. He loved doing yard work and projects with his team mate and dad, Jason. When the skies were gloomy Keoni would spend his time drawing, writing poems, and listening to music. Keoni was a very passionate and creative young man. He loved playing the guitar, piano and video games with his big brother Jacob. Keoni was a genuinely fun loving, goofy 14 year old teenager that will forever be missed, his memory will forever live on.
The family is so thankful and touched by the show of love and support from family, friends, and the community.
Fly high in heaven our Sweet Keoni! We love you to the moon and back, Carry on soldier!
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society Chapel, 1100 El Jobean Road, Suite 104, Port Charlotte, FL 33948.
Love, Eisley <3 (The one you called pumpkin at one point)
You were such a sweet young man, and I am so glad I had the opportunity to have you in my class. You were a light to everyone around you. Rest easy in the arms of Jesus and God bless your sweet soul.
Keoni in the 7th grade.
I truly am discomforted by your passing. I was not able to speak to you or become friends with you again before you left us. I miss you Tigger.
Forever in my heart,
