Keith Edward Walters, 71, died at his Palm Coast, Florida home, March 4, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was riding his Harley motorcycle New Year’s Eve in his residential area when a driver backed out of his driveway, striking him. He never recovered from his injuries.

Keith was born January 5, 1951, in Marshall, Michigan to Edwin (deceased) and Beatrice (Watson) Walters, not quite weighing two pounds. He attended Marshall schools, graduating from high school in 1970. He married his high school sweetheart, the former Peggy A. Laupp (deceased in 2018) on November 14, 1969. He was also a volunteer fireman for Marengo Township for a while. After Peggy retired from her employment they moved to Palm Coast, Florida. He was an expert marksman and enjoyed deer hunting on his father’s-in-law farm. He loved to read about and discover Civil War and history. He was a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Assn., holding the office of Vice President. He attended United Methodist Church of Palm Coast, where he served as an usher and assisted at church activities, especially the church cookouts that he enjoyed. Throughout his illness, he never lost his positive attitude.
