Kelley Jean Hartsfield, age 55 of DeLand, passed away Monday June 20, 2011 with her loving family at her side. Kelley was born in Springfield, Illinois August 24, 1955 to Fred and Mary Blackford Reed. She migrated with her family to Florida some 48 years ago where she began her lifelong love of the beach, and developed her special gardening skills. She also enjoyed basket weaving, and loved her animals. Her most special talent was her devotion to educating and teaching Autistic children which she had done for more than 30 years at the Dream Lake Elementary School in Apopka; she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eustis.Preceded in death by a brother Ed, Kelley leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Erin(Matt) Walker of Mt. Dora, Amanda Hartsfield of Eustis,sons Joshua Stevenson of Orlando, Rodney Hartsfield of Eustis; mother Mary Reed of Orlando, father Fred(Rosalee) Reed of Arkansas; brother Dennis(Shannon) Reed of Apopka, sister Lori(Kenneth) Cubbedge of Orlando, and two grandchildren Rylie Walker; and Raegan Walker who was just born, so they never got a chance to meet.
The family is planning a Life Celebration On Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:00 a m at The First Baptist Church of Eustis, 3551 East Orange Avenue, Eustis, Florida 32736; 352-357-5640. Life Celebration co-created by Baldwin Brothers Cremation Society.
Im very sorry for your loss. Kelley must have touched many lives. She will be dearly missed. A hope that I wanted to share with you can be found in your Bible at John 5:28,29. It states soon God will resurrect to life to this earth those whom he chooses. And soon after that he will eliminate death all together (Isa 25:8). It's a a beautiful day to look forward to.
