Obituary

Kelli B. Adams

Born 11/28/1958 in Garden Grove, California Deceased 1/23/2018 in Winter Park, Florida

She was the beloved wife of Chuck Adams, mother to son, Christopher Adams, and daughter, Klaire Adams. Kelli arrived in Orlando as a young girl, went to Oakridge High School as well as Bishop Moore and graduated from Mid Florida Tech(so she could graduate early). She worked many different positions until she discovered her love for childcare, which began with working at a daycare to be near her own children during the daytime. Her long childcare career began at Colonialtown Daycare, self-employed housekeeper for several years, then back to childcare. Beginning at Park Maitland, moving to Kenworthy Academy, and finally The Jewish Community Center in Maitland for 14+ years. She eventually had to leave the JCC due to her ongoing 3 year battle with Stage 4 lung cancer. She fought long and hard, despite the fact of an initial diagnosis of inoperable and incurable. Strength and determination were what kept her with us for so long. She was a mother to many, mentor and teacher to hundreds, and mostly, friend to all. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Chuck Adams of Winter Park, son Chris Adams (Tanya) of Mt. Dora, daughter Klaire Adams (Jeff) of Winter Park, her brothers, Guy and Chris, sisters, Trudi and Theresa, and granddaughters, Savana, Sammie, Samantha and Zoey. Preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Fromm, and brother, Joe Boyd.

Memorial service is being held at 310 S Park Ave Winter Park, Florida 32789 on Saturday, February 17, at 11AM. Flowers or memorial donations are welcomed. If you would like to make a donation please make the donation in Kelli’s name to Cornerstone Hospice or Richard S. Adler Early Childhood Learning Center part of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando in Maitland, FL.
