Obituary
Kellie Maureen Springer Lehr, 52, of Port Orange FL died Good Friday, April 2, 2021 with her family by her side. Kellie was born March 25, 1969 in Taipei, Taiwan to Cdr. Donald Francis and June Veronica (Devine) Springer. The family transferred with the U.S. Navy back to the United States to Jacksonville FL, then Pearl Harbor HI, and settled in Clearwater FL. Kellie graduated from Clearwater Central Catholic High School in 1987 and graduated from the University of South Florida in 1994 where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Kellie worked for many years with The Salvation Army. She married the love of her life, Steven Lehr on October 19, 1996 and later settled in Port Orange to raise their two beautiful children, Matthew and Lily. Her family then became active members of All Saints Lutheran Church. Kellie was very involved in her children’s schooling and extracurriculars. She enjoyed kittens, gardening, biking, swimming, traveling, ice skating, and ballet. She will be remembered for her compassion, love for all children, and numerous hours volunteering in the Church, Scouting, and local elementary schools. Kellie is survived by her loving husband of twenty four years, Steven; two cherished children, Matthew (his girlfriend Emily) and Lily; two brothers, David and Sean Springer, four sisters, Michele, Kerry, Dana and Chris Springer; mother-in-law, Jeanne M. Lehr; four sisters-in-law, Deborah Runyon, Cynthia Lehr, Sandra Denslow, and Lisa Ellis; brother-in-law Charles Lehr, and many nieces and nephews. Kellie was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law Edward Lehr, Guardians Capt. Richard and Carolyn O’Loughlin, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephew Robbie. A Life Celebration will be held at the Rock Church in Port Orange on June 12, 2021 at 1PM.
