Obituary
Kenneth Albert Eckman, age 91, of Ocala, FL, passed away on August 28, 2024. Kenneth was born on October 23, 1932, in Buffalo, NY. He was an architect for over 50 years and developer of Palm Cay and Ocala Palms in Ocala Florida. Kenneth was a lifelong active member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, and he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Kenneth enjoyed bowling, water sports and activities, and card games with his family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling and visiting his grandchildren. His family and friends will always remember him as a humorous, generous and loving person.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathryn Louise Eckman; his children, Kathryn Anne Schelgelmilch (Ronald), Alicia Kay Otten (Timothy) and Martin Albert Eckman II; grandchildren, Sarah Kathryn Leazott (Chad), Nathan Alexander Otten (Rachel), Candace Lyndsey Otten, Rachel Anne Schelgelmilch, Kentin Albert Eckman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, A. Hanford Eckman and Elizabeth Eckman; and his brother, Hanford L. Eckman.
A memorial service will be held on September 28, 2024, at 11am at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ocala, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be placed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
