Obituary
Kenneth P. Conners passed away peacefully at his home in New Smyrna Beach on Sunday, October 13, 2019 after a long illness.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Ken attended the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and later graduated from the University of Georgia. He began his career in the Atlanta area in the Recycling Industry, where he eventually started his own company, Fulton Fibers, Inc. After frequent vacation trips to Volusia County, Ken fell in love with the area and moved his business to Port Orange. He eventually retired to the New Smyrna Beach beachside community, where he felt most at home. There he enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, and boating, but most of all the friendship he found in the local people of the community.
Ken is predeceased by his father, William P. Conners of Savannah, Georgia. Surviving family members include his mother Eva S. Conners of Savannah, brothers William P. Conners Jr. of Brunswick, Maine, Thomas J. Conners of Melbourne Beach, Florida, and a sister M. Elizabeth Conners of Corvallis, Oregon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family.
Private services for the family will be held at a later date.
