Obituary
Kenneth James Kossin “Ken”, 84, of Eustis, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024. Born on January 14, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of Martin and Mary Kossin (both deceased). Ken lived a life marked by love, dedication and service.
Ken proudly served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960. After his military service, he married the love of his life, Sondra Kossin, whom he shared 51 wonderful years of marriage.
Ken was a man of simple pleasures, enjoying time with family and friends. He loved watching the Cleveland Guardians, lawn bowling and playing cards with those closest to him. Known for his strength, determination, and steadfast faith, Ken was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a devout Brother in Christ. He was an active and longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Eustis.
Ken is survived by his children: Lisa Otis (Chuck), Ken (Becky) and Jeff (Debbie). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Ema and April (Scott).
Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sondra and his cherished granddaughter Jessi.
Ken’s life was a testament to love, faith and resilience. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 10:00AM at the First United Methodist Church of Eustis to celebrate Ken’s life.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jessi’s Journey Foundation or Compassionate Care Hospice in his memory.
