Obituary
Kenneth Pittman, born on February 12, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, peacefully passed away on June 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 82 years old.
Kenneth, lovingly known as Ken, was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Monica, and children: Jen, Rob, Kris, and Rick. He was predeceased by his son, Michael, whose memory he cherished deeply.
Ken dedicated his professional life to serving his country as a systems engineer, a career he pursued with diligence and integrity. After many years of committed service with the U.S. Government, he retired and, in 2002, moved to the sunny Florida, where he embraced a well-deserved retirement.
Ken was a man of many passions and talents. Known for his caring nature, generosity, and quick wit, he brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. His hands were rarely idle, as he took great pleasure in restoring classic 1955 Chevrolets, a hobby that showcased his meticulous attention to detail and love for vintage cars. He was also the quintessential “Mr. Fix-It,” always ready to tackle any household project with skill and enthusiasm.
In every aspect of his life, Ken exemplified dedication and love. His legacy lives on through his family and the countless memories they shared. His gentle spirit, warm heart, and unwavering support will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Marion County Animal Services in his memory.
Rest in peace, Ken. Your memory will forever be a blessing to those who had the privilege of knowing you.

Ken's presence at the shop parties, along with Monica, brought joy and laughter to everyone around. He truly was a kind soul, and I will always remember the laughter we shared. One of my favorite memories is when Ken came to the party dressed as a Doctor – a costume that perfectly showcased his playful spirit.
Ken's love for vintage Chevrolet cars was evident in every conversation we had. He had a knack for storytelling, and lunchtime was always a delight with his amusing and heartfelt stories that never failed to bring smiles and laughter.
Please accept my deepest condolences. Ken's warmth, kindness, and the joy he brought to those around him will be dearly missed. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
With heartfelt sympathy, Jeff Allen
