Kevin M. Hamel
Clearwater, Florida
December 8, 1952 – January 11, 2025

Clearwater, Florida – Kevin Martin Hamel, 72 died unexpectedly Saturday, January 11, 2025. Kevin was born on December 8, 1952 in Burlington, VT. Kevin spent his Elementary years in Worcester, VT finishing out his High School years in Belleair Bluffs, FL graduating from Largo Sr. High School in 1970. He married in 1989 and returned for a time to Vermont where he and his wife had a son and then they moved on to Mansfield, Ohio to be closer to grand-parents.

Most of his working career was spent in Auto Sales where he excelled as a salesman that went out of his way to make his client happy. In 2018 Kevin returned back to Clearwater, FL to enjoy the warm weather, sunsets and boat rides on the Gulf of Mexico. During his last few years, he had discovered driving for Uber. He thoroughly enjoyed talking to his fares and had many that would request him as their driver.

Kevin’s love for family and friends ran deep. His charismatic way always made you feel special in his presence. Kevin was a complicated man and there are no words to express how deeply he was loved and how greatly he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Kevin is predeceased by his mother, Dorothy Anne (D’Anne) Hamel, father, George O. Hamel, Jr. and Nicholas George Hamel his beloved son. Kevin is survived by his sister Gail M. Tyburski and husband Peter E., Melissa Hamel, nephew Stephen George McIntyre, cousins Linda R. MacKenzie, Rick Russell and wife Debbie, Tim Russell and wife Kim, Erin Davis and Holly R.
