Larry A. Manning, 75, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on February 23, 2023.
Larry was born on April 5, 1947 to William and Mildred Joan Manning in Indianapolis, Indiana. After Larry graduated from Manuel High School in 1965, he went on to attend Purdue University in Indianapolis where he studied civil engineering.
Larry worked for 25 years at Woolpert. He served as the Vice President-Director of Aviation Business Development. He retired from Woolpert in 2012.
At Manuel High school, he met Connie Mudd. They just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on February 14, 2023. Larry and Connie had 3 boys: Larry, Joseph, and Donald.
Larry and Connie reared their boys at Garfield Christian Church and Southport Heights Christian Church. In later years, they attended Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood, Indiana where Larry served in the praise band. While in Florida, they often worshiped at Sanibel Community Church.
Larry and Connie loved the beach and were thrilled that they could buy a home in Fort Myers, Florida after Larry’s retirement. He loved golfing, music, traveling, and working around his home. One of his favorite places to relax was Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel Island. Larry could be found there on Sunday afternoons enjoying the sun, good food and drink, and the live music. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. He and Connie created many special memories with all five of them. Fishing, special holiday parties, swimming and watching the many sports and activities the five of them were involved in brought Larry great joy.

He is survived by his wife, Connie, his sons, Larry (Penny) of Fort Myers, Florida, and Don (Anne) of Greenwood, Indiana, his five grandchildren, Rachel Manning of Tampa, Florida, Jonah Manning of Nashville, Tennessee, Luke and Margaret Manning of Greenwood, Indiana, and Drew Manning, of Indianapolis, Indiana.
