Larry Schomer, 69, left this world to go to a better place on Monday, May 24, 2010 at his home with his family by his side. Larry was born July 31, 1940 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He was veteran of the US Navy serving from 1957 – 1961. Larry retired from the Upjohn Company in Kalamazoo, MI after 30 years service and moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1997. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Larry loved camping, hunting, fishing and he thought the outdoors was the best gift given to man. He was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Schomer and twin sister, Mary Ann Heath. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Bobbie Jean; son, Michael (Tina) Presley of Pauls Valley, OK; daughter, Kathy (Lynn) Deemer of Daytona Beach; four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1737 N. Clyde Morris Blvd., suite 140, Daytona Beach 32117.
