Dear Suzy, Mark, Joseph, Laura, and all who feel the loss of sweet Laura, your beloved Mom, Grandma, relative and friend,
Deepest condolences and sympathy to you. Suzy, you were so close and supportive of your Mom, by her side whenever needed, generously and selflessly giving your love, humor, and care to the one who gave it to you. Although no words can really take away the ache in your heart, may the love of friends and family that surrounds you offer you comfort and strength and help you to move to a peaceful place where you are truly able to celebrate Laura's wonderful life and the gifts she left behind. I love you, Suzy, and Mark, and Joseph and Laura. My arms are around you from afar. Love, Judi

Laura will be missed but her spirit remains instilled in her children and grandchildren. She had a long life filled with love and kindness directed farm her and to her. Suzy, you seem to embody many of your Mom's attributes beautifully described n your tribute to her. My Mom instilled them in me, too. I love you, Suzy, and all the rest of the Gavin's and Les, too. Hugs and love! Stephen

Mom, I will miss you so much! You will always be in my heart. You taught me so many things, here are just a few of those precious gifts: Love Life, enjoy yourself, don't take yourself too seriously, friends are important, always look out for the underdog, the glass is always half full, how to be a good Mother, be kind, be gentle, have fun, forgive, appreciate nature, help others (especially those less fortunate then you), family is important, and live life to the fullest.
Most of all you taught me unconditional love the kind of love I have always felt from you, that you not only gave to me, but to my friends and my family, especially my children. I will cherish all of the special times we have shared and there are so many!
Thank you for being such a loving presence in my life and always being here for me. I love you Momxoxoxo Love Always, Suzy

    Henry Van Dyke poem:

    Gone From My Sight

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."

    Gone where?

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.

And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"
