Obituary
DeLand, FL Mrs. LaVergne Anbach of DeLand, FL., formerly of Bensenville, IL, passed away peacefully on Nov. 14th, 2018 in Daytona Beach, FL at the age of 88. At her own request, her body was cremated.
She was remembered by her family at a small private service in Florida, and in the Spring will have another service in her hometown in Illinois with more family and friends.
LaVergne was born on December 29, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Ernest & Viola. She married Robert Anbach, a U.S. Navy veteran in 1951. Over their first few years of marriage, they introduced their three children in to the world. She was very close with not only her immediate family, but also her extended family, as well as her friends. Lavergne loved to play Bingo and could often be found travelling to enjoy a sporting event or even a few slot machines. LaVergne was a dedicated individual who loved her family and was passionate about helping those she loved, whether it be family or friends. She loved her Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs and was extremely happy she was able to live long enough to see the Cubs finally win the World Series in 2016. She was an active and dedicated lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #2149 where she could often be found volunteering in the community.
Survivors include her children: Bob Anbach and his wife, Kelly of DeLand, FL; Jan Schumacher of DeLand, FL; grandchildren: Nicole Saunderson and her husband Michael of DeLand, FL; Denise Schumacher of Waukegan, IL; Michelle Gibson and her husband David of Virginia Beach, V A; Ken Schumacher of Las Vegas, NY; Daniel Jenner of Las Vegas, NY; Great-grandchildren: Savannah, Rian, and Sidnee Gibson of Virginia Beach, VA; Madison, & Summer Jenner of Las Vegas, NY; Lifelong Friends: Rita Cholewa of Roselle, IL; and Norma Manrose of Bensenville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents Viola & Ernest, her two sisters Doris & Eleanor, her husband Robert, her daughter Jeri, and lifelong friend Vivian Bagnell.
