HUNT, LAWRENCE JOSEPH
Lawrence “Larry” Hunt went home to be with Jesus on February 14, 2022 at age 68.
Larry was born on October 26, 1953 in Elizabeth, NJ. His parents were William J. Hunt and Anna Marie Mihalkovitz. He had a deep love for music, playing and singing. As a teenager and into his adult years he played guitar, cow bell, and tambourine and also sang as lead singer to multiple bands over the years.
Larry met his wife, Sherri in 1997 at The Church @ The Springs in Ocala where he was serving in ministry. They married November 3, 2000. Larry and Sherri enjoyed traveling together as often as they could & took many cruises. But, Larry’s favorite trip was the mission trip to Germany they took together in 2019.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, Larry also loved motorcycles and had been a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association for several years. He came to know Christ late in life, but held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. He took every opportunity to share Christ with anyone who would listen. This led him to begin a jail and prison ministry that he continued for 25 years. He also enjoyed doing hospital ministry and had been an on call chaplain for Munroe Region Medical Center in the early 2000’s. Due to his own personal health issues, he had a unique perspective and he was able to bring peace and comfort to many of the patients.
Larry is pre-deceased by his father William Hunt, his mother Ann Marie Klotz, step-father Carl Klotz, his daughter April Hunt, sister-in-law Debbie Hunt, & brother-in-law James England. He is survived by his wife Sherri Hunt, brothers William Hunt (Leigh), Danny Hunt (Kitten), Eric Hunt, sister, Maxine England, daughters, Christine Moulico (Ernest), Jennifer Hunt, and sons, Steven Hunt (Susan), and Nicholas Hunt.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place Chapel, 954 E Silver Springs Blvd, Suite 200, Ocala, FL from 5-7 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday February 25th at Cross Pointe Church Ocala 5494 SW College Rd, Ocala, FL at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Larry’s memory to Cross Pointe Church.

Me and Larry texted each other almost everyday just to see how we were doing since we both were having health issue and it will be hard that we will not be talking anymore. Larry is at rest now and no longer in pain and I will miss him . REST IN PEACE BROTHER
