Obituary

LAWRENCE A. LEE, 60 years old, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on June 29th, 2024.

Born in Illinois in 1963, Lawrence was raised and attended High School in Tallahassee, Florida. He joined the Unites States Marine Corps in 1985 and trained at Camp LeJeune.

After 30 years of friendship, Lawrence was married to his best friend, Lisa Salinard and they shared a home with their beloved dogs Sweetie Mae and Lizzy Mae in St. Petersburg, Florida.  They named their home “Puppy Paradise” in honor of their beautiful girls and over their many years together, Lawrence was lovingly nicknamed Puppy Daddy.  He carried that name with pride.

Lawrence worked as a Logistics Broker and specialized in the transport of large machinery internationally.  He was a member of The American Legion.  His favorite thing to do aside from spend time with his dogs, was to play golf with his friends.  This is where he found the connection to nature, his friends and the challenge of the game brought him the most peace and happiness.

Heaven gained another angel on the 29th, and while we are left hurting, angry, and questioning why, we remember Larry as one of the truly “good guys”.  Quiet, humble and always underestimating his positive impact on our lives…Now more than ever, we need him here.

He leaves behind his sister, Amy Rogers and his brother Brent Ghidoni and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a party in his honor held at the family home on August 3rd, 2024.  There will be no formal funeral service.

Thank you so much for allowing me to care for Larry. Although our time spent together was short, it was truly an honor caring for Larry and blessed I was given the opportunity to be a part of his world. Wish we had cross paths sooner, somewhere on the green or passing in our Golf Carts. I’d gladly step up to the tee for another opportunity to hug you again. Love, your “Nurse Jane”
