Obituary

Lenita Jane Curry went home to be with the Lord on February 25th, 2018 in
Tavares, Florida at the age of 62. Lenita will be greatly missed by her
husband of 40 years, Jim; their children, Adam and Amanda; and her sister,
Alana and her family.
Lenita was born June 18th, 1955 in Hamilton county, Indiana to Hilton and
Virginia Harvey. She moved to Fort Myers, Florida in 1978 shortly before
her marriage to Jim and devoted much of her life to caring for her family.
Her role as a loving wife and mother was her most important priority and
her family is forever grateful for the gift of her love.
Lenita will be remembered for her creativity and how she loved to use her
talents to inspire others, whether it was singing in choir, teaching piano,
drawing and painting, or enjoying a variety of other arts and crafts. She
found the beauty around her and wanted those she loved to experience it
as she did. She was an active member in the churches she attended and
her faith was exemplified by her selfless and giving nature.
Her death was sudden and unexpected and though her life ended before
we were ready, she will be kept alive by the beautiful memories she left
behind.
A private memorial service will be held in Tavares for family. Memorial
donations can be made to Turning Point Ministries.

My deepest condolences to all of you for your loss. Lenita was a second mother to my daughter, Laura and a wonderful friend to me. I had always hoped to reconnect again someday. Just the other day I was driving to a farm on Nalle Grade Rd to pick up fresh eggs and drove past the old Holly Oak Stables where we first met. Although the Holly Oak Stables sign is no longer there, I remember Lenita's project idea was to have Amanda and Laura make a new sign. One of my many good memories of Lenita.
