Obituary
On October 11th, 2021, Lenwood McIntosh, Sr. (Len), age 88, peacefully fell asleep in death, surrounded by family at home.
Len was born October 21,1932 in Elbert County, Georgia, to the late, Odessa (Jones) and Willie McIntosh. Len relocated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1949. In 1953 he married the love of his life, Lettie Mae (Harper). A devoted marriage lasting 60 years. To this union six children were born. Together, Len and Lettie devoted their lives to Jehovah God through Baptism June 1959. At an early age, they served faithfully together. Always keeping their eyes on the real prize. Life forever, together in paradise. Storing up treasures in heaven so one day they would be able to live the real life that is soon to be realized (John 17:3). They were diligent in attendance at Christian meeting and delivering the message of hope for all mankind in the ministry.
Lenwood was preceded in death by his wife Lettie, April 6, 2014, and their son Lenwood Jr (Woody), February 12,2016. He had a special affection for children. He enjoyed being a father figure, and role model to young people. He was a family man. Always putting family first, expressing unconditional love and care, leading by example. Everyone loved his prayers to Jehovah before and after every meal and at meetings, creating a strong family unit. He did everything together with his family, worked on projects (no task too complicated), traveled all over the country to conventions, and visiting family and friends.
Len Retired from General Motors Fisher Body Division, Cleveland Ohio. He was a entrepreneur with many successful endeavors, “McGee’s Landscaping & Snow Plowing”. During the winter, he would be plowing snow all night, making it possible for everyone to get out of their driveways for work, and get into the Kingdom Halls for meetings. In the summer he landscaped and helped with odd jobs. Len was always willing to help friends and family. He loved music, especially the blues, and he loved dancing, and roasted peanuts. Len will be remembered for his lovely prayers.
Len will always be in the hearts and memories of his children: Gwendolyn Hayes, Kimberly (John-deceased) Ryals, Phyllis Yates, Antoinette McIntosh, Lenwood, Jr. (deceased) Tina, De-Edrick McIntosh, eight grandchildren, Kashawna, Pierre, Jonathan(deceased), Britani, Vanesha, Natasha, Temeka, and Dante (deceased); great-grandchildren, Emonie, Deshawn, Shamar, Luke, Jayla, Jacoi, Makai, Ruben, and Latashua; and five great-great grandchildren; Siblings: Willie Sue (Garnet-Deceased) Samuel, Carrie (James Franklin-deceased) Middlebrook, Otis (Willie B); Deceased: EmCofer (Tommie lee), Jake C.
