Obituary
Leslie A. Crinnian (née Ottoson), 63, of Edgewater, FL passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021. She was the wife of the late William Crinnian, who was her partner for more than thirty years. Born December 10, 1957 in East Orange, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Eric and Charlotte Ottoson of Kenvil, NJ. She attended County College of Morris where she received her associates degree and began working as a lab technician, which she did for most of her adult life. She met and married her husband, Bill, in New Jersey, where they lived until 1989. She raised her family in Missouri and, in 2004, moved to Oklahoma with Bill. They opened a restaurant, which they operated until Bill’s health began declining. After his passing, she moved to Florida in 2011 and fell in love with her new state, making friends wherever she went.
She was fiercely loyal, generous, sensitive, and deeply loved those who were near to her. She had an uncanny ability to make friends, and anyone who knew her would say she never met a stranger no matter where she was. She was a member and patron of the AmVets Post 2, loved going to the beach, and could often be found lounging in the pool with her beloved friends and neighbors in Eastern Shores Village, whom she considered to be family.
Leslie was a loving friend, sibling, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Kylie Crinnian of Kansas City, MO; granddaughter Charlotte Crinnian of Kansas City; son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Katie Crinnian of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother and sister-in-law Mark and Sherry Ottoson of Flanders, NJ; brother and sister-in-law David and Melissa Ottoson of Stanhope, NJ; sister Doris Ottoson of Allamuchy, NJ; sister and brother-in-law Amy and Manny Quinoa of Allamuchy, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Jan and John “Jack” Jones of Kunkletown, PA.
Always an animal lover, she loved her dog, Luigi, and her numerous grand-dogs and grand-cats. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edgewater, FL animal shelter or to your local animal shelter in her memory.
