Obituary

Leslie Alan Griffis, 69, of Bradenton Florida, passed away on January 9, 2018 in Fruitland Park, Florida. Mr. Griffis was born in Michigan. He was married to Michelle R. Boaman for 46 years. Mr. Griffis served in the Army for 3 years. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years. He worked as a School Crossing Guard for the Manatee County Sheriff’s office for 10 years. He then retired to travel full time in his RV visiting places all over the country. Mr. Griffis is survived by his wife, Michelle Griffis; daughter, Donica Iaquinto; son, Jonathan Griffis; granddaughter, Mallory Iaquinto; and grandson, Jeremy Iaquinto. Mr. Griffis had a passion for fishing, traveling, Nascar, and spending time with his family. He touched the lives of many people and will live on in all of their Hearts. Leslie willbe laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery with Army military honors.
