Leslie Harrison Battey, 91 formerly Edgewater, FL died Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Fenton, MI. Leslie was born March 22, 1923 in Greenville, RI to the late Raymond and Helen Battey. He served in the US Army during WW Ii and worked for the Federal Government for 45 years. Leslie was a member of the Edgewater United Methodist Church and loved music and playing the organ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Battey, sister, Shirley Eagleson, and brothers, Milton and Ralph Battey. Leslie is survived by his children Robert and his wife, Carol Battey of Vancouver, WA, Wayne and his wife, Diane Battey of Holly Hill, Donna and her husband, Chris Anderson of Linden, MI and Dianne and her husband Craig LeMieux of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Russell, cory, Brandon, Kelsy, Cameron, Kyle, Zachary; great-grandchild, Jasper; sister-in-law, Florence Baker; sisters, Elaine and her husband, Larry Catlow and Eleanor and her husband, Dave Campbell and brother, Lance Battey. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery. Time is pending
