Lester C Weimer was born on November 10, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland. He moved to Florida in 1983 and is survived by his loving wife Gloria, son Robert of New Smyrna Beach, daughter Kelly Tapp of Nebraska, three grandchildren, and stepchildren Keith Buckner, Tracy Buckner, and two step grandchildren. He was self employed master printer specializing in gold foil stamping and embossing and was presented the Innovative Small Business Award by Governor Chiles. He moved to New Smyrna Beach and shortly thereafter met Gloria. In 2003 he became a Realtor and has won numerous state and local awards including Florida Realtors Newcomer of the Year and New Smyrna Beach Realtor of the year. Lester is known for his charitable works, including the annual golf tournament he founded "Birdies for Babies" to benefit the March of Dimes. He has been a little league coach, team captain for Relay for Life, and volunteers on several state and local Realtor committees. Everyone will remember his winning smile, corny jokes, and of course his great Hawaiian shirts. His business slogan was "Relax, I'll Do All The Work." It is your turn to relax, Lester - rest in peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 3:00 at Hidden Lakes Golf Club, 35 Fairgreen Avenue, New Smyrna Beach.
I would have loved to have seen him these years later so
I could take him up on some of the laughter I missed. Bobby and Kelly your Dad was a good man. I just heard of his passing.
Happy Trails!
Gloria, we'll keep you in our prayers during this tragic time. Take care.
