Lewis Carl Johnson, 88 of Tavares, Florida passed away peacefully Monday, October 17, 2016 at Cornerstone Hospice, Tavares, Florida.

Carl was born August 23, 1928 in Lima, Ohio to Lewis Barnaby & Fannie May (Howbert) Johnson. He leaves his wife of 69 years, Rita Jean (Bible) Johnson.

Carl is survived by his six children: Leon (Robin) Johnson of Spencerville, Ohio; Vickie Sue Young of London, Ohio; Rebecca “Becki” (Stanley) Woo and David Johnson both of California; Linda (Rory) Reed and Peggy (Jim) Retzler both of Wooster, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. His parents; a brother, Robert Johnson; a daughter-in-law, LuAnn Johnson; and a son-in-law, Bill Young, preceded him in death.

Carl retired from Countrymark (Landmark) after 46 years of service. He enjoyed family, fishing, hunting and trap shooting throughout his life.

Per Mr. Johnson’s wishes there will be no services.
