Obituary

Lewis A. Waugh, 76, of Dunnellon, FL passed away February 9, 2019.  He was born in Bangor, ME to Lewis and Ecla (Getchell) Waugh.  Mr. Waugh was a retired long distance tractor trailer driver and came to this area in 2004 from Taunton, MA.  He was a member of the Williston Shooters Club, the Taunton Gun Club, NRA and Teamsters Local 653.  His hobby was target shooting and he also enjoyed travel shows, documentaries, landscaping.  Lewis will always be remembered as Mr. Fix It and enjoyed helping others.  He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; sons, Dale, Randy and Shawn Waugh; daughters, Julie Reid, Kellie Waugh and Tanya Silva; step-daughters, Catherine Riordon and Karen Palmer Riordon; brothers, Pernell Waugh, Sr and Gaynol Waugh, Sr; sisters, Juanita Edwards, Norma Waugh and Luann Botelho and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dwight D.     4 Years later. You are still missed Lewis. I think about you often, and I am grateful that you and my mom were able to have a nice life together over the years you were married. Time marches on here but your memory had not faded❤

    Lewis it has taken me a few days to gather my thoughts to share as you will be so deeply missed. I scrolled through and read the comments and looked at the pictures posted and I thank your friends and family for posting them. You and my mom really built a nice life together. I appreciate that you were good to her over the years and I know it made her happy to be good to you too. I hope you have reconnected with your family that passed before you and am grateful you are no longer feeling sick. You were a great step-dad and will be very missed. Love, Cathir

    Lewis no amount of time will ever stop me from missing or loving you. We were so close. Even though we lived miles apart you always felt close by. We talked on the phone constantly and I will so miss that. I will miss hearing that very distinct voice of yours. I will keep a check on Barbara for you.     My brother-in-law, Lewis, had a great sense of humor. His work ethic? Mr. Fit It says it all. I will never forget his wonderful voice. Nelson and I will miss you, Lewis. Rest in peace, Lewis.
