Obituary

Lillie Ruth Evans, 92, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at Estelle’s House under hospice care.  She was born in Plant City, FL on May 9, 1925 in the Cork community to Wesley and Lottie (Lane) Murray. She moved to Marion county in 1978 and was a member of Anthony Baptist Church.  She was a church pianist for 65 years starting when she was just 15. She played for many groups, quartets and churches throughout Plant City, Mulberry and the Ocala area.  She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Addie Loy and Edith Townsend.  Her first husband Fred gross (1970) and her second husband Hugh Norris Evans (2006).
She is survived by her only child Daretha (Dori) Robinson and her husband Bobby of Ocala; her two grandsons Nicholas of Jacksonville and Jeremy of Ocala, several nieces and nephews and other relatives. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.  We are sad but not sorry. She has entered into Glory and is resting in the arms of Jesus with all the loved ones who have gone on before her.
