Linda Ann Littlefield
Linda Ann Littlefield, RN, CCRN, of DeLand, FL., passed away February 7, 2018. She was born in Auburn, NY on September 7, 1939, the first of Vernon’s and Mary Elizabeth LeFever’s five children. Following graduation from Geneva (NY) High School, she worked in a variety of administrative positions for physicians in New York, Massachusetts and Florida before returning to school to fulfill a life-long calling to become a nurse. She earned her Bachelors Degree w/Honors from Miami-Dade Community College in 1983 and, with the family’s move to Mississippi, began a busy nursing career with the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Following the family’s return to Florida in 1989, Linda worked as an Intensive Care Unit nurse at Florida Hospital DeLand and at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford before becoming ill with Lupus. She was able to continue her chosen career work on a limited basis for a short while in the Home Health field before her illness forced her retirement in 1996. Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald A. Littlefield and by their daughter, Amy E. France and her Husband, James, of DeLand, FL; and by brothers John (Jack) LeFever and Thomas LeFever and sisters Mary Lou Heath and Judy Vail, all of Auburn or Cayuga, NY.; and by the loving nieces and nephews who will be missing their Aunt Linda from near and far. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on February 23 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 359 W. New York Avenue in DeLand.
