Obituary
Linda Immerman Krell, 74, of North Ft Myers passed away January 4, 2020. She was born in Miami, Florida, February 1945, the youngest daughter of John and Genevra Immerman. A true Floridian born and raised, she graduated Miami Senior High School as a member of the proud class of 1963 and lived on the East coast of Florida until 1979 when she headed to the Gulf Coast eventually settling in beautiful North Ft Myers.
In 2016 she married Vern Krell and they spent their years running Eddies Towing until they retired and spent the rest of their time travelling together and enjoying life. Not one to sit still for long, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, experiencing all the national parks and lived a vibrant and joyful life (often on the back of a motorcycle).
Linda loved to love on people. Friends became instant family and there was nothing she wouldn’t do. Her husband once shared an example of her generosity in that she heard of a working mom who was struggling to either pay her electric bill or feed her children. Linda didn’t hesitate and took out her checkbook and paid the young lady’s electric bill. This is but one small example of the wonderful woman she was.
Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life and it gave her great joy to spend time with them. Linda was a vibrant and active member of the N. Ft Myers community both as a business owner and citizen. She purchased Eddie’s Towing in 1982 and was very proud of the service she was able to provide her city and often spoke of her great relationships with both the Sheriff’s office and her neighbors. Linda enjoyed travelling in her RV with her husband Vern, her dog Cookie and her cat Uno and saw the majority of the United States from the open road.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband Vern; her sons Mark Taraboulos of Suwanee, GA , Paul Taraboulos of Coral Springs, FL and Brett Linton of N. Ft Myers, FL as well as her grandchildren Tyler and Lexi Taraboulos, Thomas and Morgan Cooper, and Sammi Linton. She also leaves her sisters Frances Rankin of Tampa, FL and Marie Girardi of Plano, Texas. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Genevra Immerman, son Allen Taraboulos and husband Don Linton.
There will be a private viewing at Baldwin Cremation on Wednesday for the family followed by a celebration of life at her home. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to Wounded Warriors foundation.
