Obituary
Linda K. Helfrich-Krzyz, 62, loving wife, mother and friend, passed away at her residence in Ocala, Florida on November 1, 2024, under the care of Hospice Home Care of Marion County.
Linda was a fervent and faithful Catholic Christian, who’s love for God and the Blessed Mother was evident through her loving life of service to others.
She volunteered at numerous public and private schools and churches in various capacities for over 40 years. She volunteered at hospice houses in Marion County for 18yrs through the church, ministering to the dying and their families.
Recognized by her long hair, in later years (the past 12) growing it out just long enough to donate (18″-24″) for cancer wigs, regularly.
Amidst a life of suffering, she had a brilliant wit and was joyous. She gave counsel to many and was a loyal friend. She enjoyed frequent Mass and Adoration, singing at church, cooking, gardening, painting.
Linda lived an exemplary life of selfless love and prayer and will be greatly missed. May she enjoy the fruits of God’s mercy in Heaven.
Linda was preceded in death by three children (1978, 1980 & 1985) she is survived by son, Brian K. Helfrich of Sarasota/North Port Florida / husband, Chester S. Krzyz, Ocala Florida, as well as other family and friends scattered around the country.
Funeral Mass for Linda is scheduled at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 5 SE 17th Street, Ocala, Florida 34471 on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, at NOON.
In lieu of flowers, please have several Masses said for her, or make donations to Blessed Trinity grade school, hospice of Marion County or St Jude’s research hospital for children’s cancer.
