Linda Ann Short
January 30, 1951 – July 7, 2024
She was born January 30, 1951, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Ival and Patricia Sparks.
She was preceded in death by sister Donna, nephew Paul, Brothers Johnny and Tommy and grandson Jeremiah.
Survived by best friend and faithful partner (Husband): William Berta
Children: William (Lara) and Dawn
Grandchildren: Sierra, Krystal (Maverick) and Zachary (Kaiti)
Greatgrandchildren: Cameron, Theodore, Emma, Lilly, Willow, Maddox and Atticus
Sister: Becky (Randy), Brother Ronny (Donna)
Nieces and nephews: Jenny, Todd (Karen: Henry), Aaron (Dy-rane and Madisyn) Joel (Tori), Amber (Jaden, Cameron, Evan and Lia), Melissa, Kane, Andy (Leah): Jordan, Carmin (Morgan, Jillian, Chase) and Amy
Linda was born in Indiana, but her heart was in Florida where she lived with her best friend (Partner) for 30+ years and her cat Molly whom she absolutely adored. She always spoke of her happiness of life, her yard, their pool and keeping them all beautiful.
She had this way about her that will be missed the most: as she would always Reach out (calls, emails, etc.) with family and friends near and far (Just to check in, give updates on weather and just let everyone know she was thinking of them). Everyone that knew her just got so many good characters of her; that will be long lasting in our hearts and memories (from her kindness, loving heart, independence and her stubborn ways). Her memories will live on in each one of us as she will be forever missed and truly loved.
Linda’s wishes were not to have a service. She wanted to be remembered the way people knew her.
