Lisa Maria Davis – June 13, 1967 – November 25, 2021
Lisa Maria Davis, age 54, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2021 at her home in Orlando, Florida with her two daughters by her side.
Born on June 13, 1967 to John and Enzina Davis in Belleville, Illinois, Lisa immediately brought joy and light into the world. She attended Belleville West High School where she gained many lifelong friendships. She then pursued a degree in education and graduated from Murray State University. Her love for teaching was passed down from both of her parents. During her career of over 20 years in elementary education, she touched the lives of so many students and fellow educators.
Lisa was a fiercely dedicated mom to her two daughters, Savannah and Caroline. Raising her girls was the joy of her life. Lisa most enjoyed spending time with her daughters, friends and family. In the company of her loved ones is where she was happiest. She loved shopping and finding the best bargains, especially when it came to home decoration and creating a unique and cozy space for her and her family. She appreciated the arts and enjoyed exploring her community. In her home you would find local artwork that represented who she was. She also spent much of her time outdoors, from hiking and bicycle riding to relaxing on her front porch that she had decorated to perfection.
The word love was so easy for Lisa to say and even easier for her to give away. Her smile warmed a room with joy and goodness. It was with kindness and gentleness that she managed her home and her classroom. Lisa was a faithful friend who loved and laughed without measure. Her family, friends, co-workers, students and their families couldn’t help but love her in return. She lived her life giving to others unconditionally, her beautiful smile and her peaceful countenance were a blessing to all who met her. In addition to the pride and love she had for her daughters, Lisa will be remembered for her ever-present joy, resilience, and loving spirit.
Lisa is survived by her daughters Savannah and Caroline, her father John, and brother Chris. Lisa was predeceased by her mother Enzina, and Savannah and Caroline’s father Joe.
A Celebration of Life will be held with family and friends in mid-December of 2021. Details will be announced at a later date.
