My very deepest condolences to the Eckert family. I am heartbroken to hear Lisa is gone. My daughter's room is the same as you left it years ago. Nobody goes in there and it is available "any time" the family wants a place to stay. Thank you for all the support you gave me when I needed it. RIP and cyber hugs to the entire family.

I met Lisa walking my dogs. Lisa invited me and my husband to Thanksgiving dinner as we were going to be alone and she just cooked a huge and wonderful meal. She made enough for an army. She had so many things to choose from it was a wonderful buffet!!! She even sent us home with a boatload of food. She worked so hard on the meal and didn’t eat much as she had stomach issues. We didn’t know her well but she made us feel like family. She was real and told you how it was and sometimes she would say I probably shouldn’t have said that way aka unedited. I told her I thought she was just so funny and not to clean up her words. She’d say others might not appreciate her choice of words so I said just tell them you have Tourette syndrome! She laughed! That was her signature her laugh and funny personality. Her text messages had a lot of lol. I learned how to text because of my son and keeping in touch so I don’t know all of the abbreviations so some times I had to read between the lines with her messages. Most of all I loved listening to her. She knew how important family was and it showed in everything she did. She wasn’t a saint and she gave you a crazy ride if you were lucky enough. I proud to say that she was a good friend of mine and I sooo miss her. She is tattooed to my heart!

Lisa was a childhood classmate at St. Philip Neri and we reconnected several years ago through Facebook. She always offered kind and supportive words while I was going through my breast cancer surgeries. I will always appreciate her compassion during that time. She had a great sense of humor, a strong conviction of her thoughts, and adored her family. My deepest condolences to all her loved ones.

    Aunt Lisa,

I’ve read through everyone’s comments. I hope you know how much you are loved and always will be. I am forever thankful for all the memories I have of you, laughing at every single one because jeez, we always had a good time together. I wasn’t even your child , but you still treated me like one, still cared about me like I was your own, and you disciplined me no different than Lauren and Robert. I think that made me love you even more. I’ve always admired your attitude. Anyone who knows you well, knows you didn’t care what ANYONE thought. You did what you want. Period. I like to think you instilled some of that in me. You had the hardest shell but the biggest heart. I will always love you and cherish the memories I have of you. I tell Albert (Orlando ) about my childhood all the time and how I credit you so much for how much of a happy one I had. You were such a big part of my childhood. I wish I could be there Sunday. I hope you know how much we all love you. You’re leaving a huge void in all of us & shoes no one can fill because you’re the epitome of ‘one of a kind’
    I love you always,
    Kristen (Crusty )

Our life and time spent together was full of love, fun, fights, adventures and now I don't know what to do and how to carry on without you by my side. You have always been the center of my universe my anchor as long as you were by my side I never had a worry we had so many plans and I thought we have so much more time but God had other plans please know you will always have my heart and love and until we are together again please remember this If I live to see the seven wonders or make a path to the rainbows end it will never match the beauty of you

Words cannot describe how I will miss you. Just thinking that I won’t see or hear from you again makes me cry. I wish that we had more time together. A mother shouldn’t have to bury a child. It should be the other way around. We had many happy times together & I will cherish them always. It is so hard for me to realize that you are gone but you will be in my heart forever. Until I see you again.
    Love you, Mom
