Obituary

LLoyd Donald Rizer
Born January 15, 1926
Passed May 16, 2022
WWII Army Ranger Veteran

During his afternoon nap on May 16, 2022, Lloyd Donald Rizer, quietly slipped away and set forth on his long-awaited journey to meet his Lord and maker. Grace, his loving wife of seventy-five years, came from heaven to escort Daddy to once again see his long passed loved ones and friends, especially mama herself, his son Donny, daughter-in-law Mitzi, beloved grandson Daniel Rizer and best friend JW. Daddy leaves behind his daughter Gale Rizer Johnson, son Paul Rizer, Daughter-In-Law Michelle Rizer, Grandson Richard, Granddaughter-In-Law Major Racheal Johnson D.O. and three Grandchildren Richard, Isaac and Grace, all of whom shall miss him greatly.

Daddy was born January 15, 1926, in Groveland, Lake County, Fl. He attended and played football for Groveland High School until he joined the United States Army at the age of 16 as an Army Ranger and was sent to the European Theatre during World War II. Fun fact: Daddy was a member of the first teams to ever play softball in the Country of Norway. After leaving the Army, Daddy drove a semi-tractor trailer for a few years for the orange grove companies in Lake County and then spent the next 37 years working for and retiring from the Florida Steel Corporation.

Paul and I can say without hesitation, a doubt or one single contradiction, our father was the most caring and supportive father ever. The good Lord broke the mold when he made our Daddy 96 years ago. He has lived happily ready and waiting a long time for this journey, filling his time fishing, gardening, for giving us the time we had with this loving, caring and wonderful man, Lloyd Donald Rizer, our Daddy.
