Obituary

Captain Lon Edward Burgan, 74, of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away on November 3, 2017. He was born on April 1, 1943 in Combs, Kentucky to the late Edward and Thelma (Crace) Burgan. Captain Lon was an avid fisherman and he loved boating. He was the Owner of L&L Tackle Shop in Fort Myers. Captain Lon is survived by his loving wife, Margaret “Peg” Burgan; his daughter, Tammy Gibbs and her husband Thomas; his daughter, Brenda Kay Gauither; his son, Lonnie Burgan II; his sister, Barbara Hahn and her husband Mick; his 7 grandchildren, and his numerous great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Affordable Cremations by Baldwin Brothers, Fort Myers, Florida.

    So sorry for your loss. We have a lot of memories of good times back in the days when you lived in Ohio. Of course Dick and Lon worked together for many years, we always think of the time when we rode motorcycles to Gatlinburg. While walking from our motel to Gatlinburg we got caught in the pouring rain. We must have walked at least a mile and laughed the whole time. We cherish those memories. We will be thinking of you and sending prayers your way. Love
