” Lonney Johnson, “Pops”, 67, went to be with his Heavenly Father in Winter Park, FL on July 12, 2020 from complications caused by COVID-19. He was brought into this world by his Father Carrol and Mother Delpha on November 23, 1952 in Deadwood, South Dakota. He built so many memories growing up on the farm with his sister Karen in Hamburg, PA, attending Blue Mountain Academy and running around with his beloved dog Flicka. He attended the University of Maryland, worked at NIH, and moved to Florida in the 70’s. Lonney and Trish were married in 1984 and raised a beautiful family of four in Florida, where he worked at Florida Hospital for over 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Trish and his Children: Son Elliot and his wife ChrisTina, with his precious Granddaughter Eden, Daughter April, Daughter Lauren and her husband Turner, and Son Nathaniel along with many family members and friends. Lonney was a true old soul, who loved biking on the beach, playing racquetball and taking cat naps. He deeply valued his relationship with the Lord and cherished nothing more than his time spent with family and friends. He was a good man in the truest way, so very sentimental, supportive, and loving to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A public memorial service will be postponed until it is socially responsible to gather for a celebration of his life. “
