Obituary
Lore Luise Plewinski, age 88, of Summerfield, FL, formerly of Colorado, passed away Thursday May 3rd, 2018. She passed away while at Legacy Hospice House after several months of cancer treatment. Lore is survived by her three children, Michael, Martina and Stefan; her sister Inge; her brothers Manfred and Rudolph; and grandchildren Caitlin and Jenna.
Lore was born in Germany in 1929 and had a lifelong career as professional furrier. After 66 years of marriage Lore stood by her husband Bruno’s side and cared for him selflessly until he passed away just eight months ago. Lore spent many years in the state of Colorado where she enjoyed long walks in the mountains with Bruno and then after retirement moved to Florida to enjoy the ocean and beaches. Her favorite beach was Nokomis Beach where Lore and Bruno spent many long weekends camping and swimming in the Gulf of Mexico.

Oma, some of my happiest memories of my life involve you. One of my favorites is when we would play in your backyard in Colorado in the snow. You didn’t want our shoes to get wet, so you put plastic bags around them! Always creative like that, you were the original recycler. We had a lot of great times at red rocks and Heritage Square, especially during Oktoberfest. Thank you for sharing with me our German culture and heritage. My other favorite memories involve the beach. I am so glad we got to go to so many different fun beaches in Florida. You were the kindest Oma, and have left a great mark in my heart forever.
