Obituary

Lori Anne Hoban passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022.
Born on March 29, 1959 in Houlton, Maine, she graduated from Colonial High School and was pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Eastern Florida State College.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Justin and Savannah Hoban, mother Joan Macdonald, step-mother Sheila MacDonald, siblings Stephen MacDonald, Deanna Schaeffer and her spouse Russ, Karen Weiss and her spouse Dave, Kim Boyle, step-brother Jeremiah MacDonald and his spouse Margaret, and ten nephews and nieces and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband James Hoban, her father James MacDonald and her brothers James MacDonald Jr. and John MacDonald.
Lori worked for many companies during her 20 years at the Kennedy Space Center. She was a major supporter of NASA and received many awards from military and work officials for her accomplishments on classified projects and for her charitable support for many organizations.
Lori loved to read. She enjoyed nature, protecting the environment, gardening, cooking and making macrame and jewelry. She loved to shop and give gifts to the special people in her life.
Special thanks to all of Lori’s friends and loved ones who cared for her, sent her cards and gifts and visited her.
A private gathering will be held to celebrate Lori’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Human Society or American Cancer Society in Lori’s memory would be appreciated.
