Lorraine Mullen passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022.

Lorraine was born the last of 12 children to Simon and Susie Rutkowski , in Parisville, Michigan on July 16, 1929. She enjoyed entertaining , and was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed her work as a nurse’s aide at Maria Healthcare Center in Adrian, Michigan. A retirement home for Dominican nuns. She was a diligent , compassionate caregiver and would often bring her patients home for delicious home cooked meals. She always kept a sparkling clean home and welcomed family , friends and neighbors with warm hospitality. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a strong work ethic and would lend herself often to help others.

Lorraine was a long time member of Sacred Heart and Saint Gerard’s Catholic Church of which she was a Eucharistic minister. She was a beloved Aunt and Godmother to many nieces and nephews . She is survived by her four children: Kathy (Tony)Melton of Flat Rock, MI, Mary (Rob) Elliott of Caledon, Ontario, Jeffrey (Cindy) Mullen of Onsted, MI, and Jennifer Kernon of Palm Coast. Grandchildren: Sarah Melton, Laura Elliott, Steven Elliott , Rachel Brown, Kelsey Mullen, and Ryan Kernon. Great Grandchildren: Sam and Reva Brown. Lorraine is predeceased by her husband of almost 38 Years Charles Mullen.

The family would like to thank Grand Villa of Palm Coast and all of the caring and compassionate people there that took great care of our mom. Also Vitas Hospice care for assisting in a peaceful transition.

A graveside service is scheduled for August 25, 2022 at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens- Edgewater at 11:00 AM.
