Obituary
Lorraine Bobbie Semmer peacefully passed away of cancer Tuesday, May 26th at HealthPark Hospital with her family by her side. She was 70 years young.
Lorraine was the daughter of the late William H. “Crowbar” & Glenda Semmer. She is survived by her son, Eli Baldwin; brother Bill Semmer, sisters, Carlene (Terry) Brennen, Joanne Semmer and Betty Semmer Hill; nieces and nephews Shamie Kelly, Matt Gray, Tracey (Henry) Gore, Pammy (Will) Yates, Nikki Semmer-Rainey, Krissy (Michael) Baker-Fisher, Katie (Geoff) Reynolds, Billy Semmer, Joey Rosemond, Jordan Gray, Lexi Gore, Austin Semmer, Brandon, Ashley & Carley Yates, James & Amber Rainey, Taylor & Chloe Fisher.
Lorraine lived on Fort Myers Beach/ San Carlos Island where she worked as the Bookkeeper for Semmer Properties, Bonita Bills Waterfront Café and the Ostego Bay Oil Spill Co-op. Her first job was at the Beach Pharmacy in Bigelow’s Plaza. Lorraine was a Fort Myers Beach Lions Club Shrimp Princess and graduated from Cypress Lake High School in 1968. She served as the Fort Myers Beach American Legion Post #274 Jr. Auxiliary President. Lorraine worked for the State Attorney’s Office 20th Judicial Circuit as Fiscal Administrator, and Bookkeeper for Sanibel Captiva Shoppers Guide, West Coast Surf Shop , Ashley Aluminum, as well as her volunteer Treasury positions for the Fort Myers Beach Little League, Fort Myers Beach Fireworks Committee, 4th of July Kid’s Fishing Tournament, and the Ostego Bay Foundation Marine Science Center.
Lorraine lived an amazing life surrounded by family and friends who she loved, and was loved dearly by. She was kind, giving and so much fun! You could find Lorraine most days at Bonita Bills either working or hanging out with all the locals, who are considered part of the family, who gather there because of the atmosphere that Lorraine helped to create.
Lorraine loved her brother and sisters so much. She stayed involved in the lives of all her nieces and nephews and was her family’s biggest cheerleader and protector. Lorraine’s greatest love was for her son, Eli. He was her everything and she could not have been prouder than to be his mom.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life for Lorraine at Bonita Bill’s for family and friends on a date to be determined.

We loved Lorraine at Bonita Bills. Always got a hug and kiss from her on our yearly
visit. She was a joy to know and will be greatly missed.
