Obituary
Mrs. Luanne Marie (Kadish) Munger, 68, a resident of Naples, passed into Eternal Life Tuesday, January 10th in the comfort of her residence with her family at her side. Born on Thursday, October 7, 1954 in Waltham, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Ronald Alexander and Barbara Vilma (LeBlanc) Kadish. She was educated in the Waltham schools.
In her youth, she worked cleaning private residences before beginning a career in cosmetology. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a hair dresser for several years.
Socially and fraternally, she held membership in the Naples Post #135 of the American Legion.
The consummate mother figure, one of her favorite activities in her spare time was watching her children and grandchildren play hockey; going to dance recitals and playing bingo.
Luanne was always trying to help whoever she met; from serving Thanksgiving dinners to those who work on the holiday or volunteering to call bingo. Being a young single mother, she was the catalyst for her children’s success and overall drive to succeed in this life. She would make it a point to attend the many dance recitals, baseball games or early morning hockey games in an effort to show her motherly care and encouragement. Above all else, Luanne is remembered as being a loving, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her adoring family. Her presence will be missed by all those she touched in this life.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mr. Maurice Munger of Naples and Watertown, MA; Children, including her daughter Billie Jo Collins and companion Mark Dugas of Fort Myers and Natick, MA; Sons, Michael Collins and his wife Tina of Natick, MA; Derik Viliott and companion Felicia Oliviera, also of Natick, MA; Grandchildren, Cameron Michael Collins; Aiden Bruce Collins; Ethan Robert Gilbert; Jayce Alexander Gilbert; Stephanie Anne Maude and Alexis Marie Smith. Great-grandchildren; Alexander Daniel Adams, Ariel Michelle Adams and Alaia Joyce Hurley, along with several former patrons and dear friends.
Per Luanne’s previous request, funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family with no formal visitation.
The Naples location of the Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society is honored to care for Mrs. Munger and her family at this time. Those wishing to extend online condolences or light a candle in Luanne’s memory, are invited to do so on her memorial page.
