Obituary
Luella Williams Sharper, 80, residing in Daytona Beach, FL departed this world December 7, 2022. Her passing was unexpected as she had no long term illness outside of asthma. She was born in the small town of Ty Ty, Georgia. It was a place with one church, one cemetery, and one store. She would speak of walking those country miles to school. During her childhood her family moved to Florida where she graduated from Campbell High School.
She worked at S&S restaurant for a short period after which she left to pursue a career in the nursing field. Luella worked at Halifax Medical Center for 35 years after which she would assist them part time.
Luella’s charm and personality was displayed by her everyday smile. Her ability to meet people and instantly relate was was a blessing that spoke of her many talents. Several of her nieces and nephews would comment on how she would consul and comfort them whether they were in conflict or not.
She loved watching TV, playing cards, traveling, and more recent Facebook.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert C. Parker; her mother Fannie Bell Lumpkin; four brothers Robert Parker, Willie F. Howard, Lester L. Hawkins, and Charles Parker. She is survived by her son Kenneth D. Sharper Jr; two brothers Min. Yewston P. Parker and Kenneth Parker; three sisters Anna Ruth Cotton, Patricia Crutchfield Battle, and Janice Parker Watson; four Grandchildren Anthony M. Sharper, Kevin R. Reyes, Mikel L. Sharper and LaKeisha R, Simmons; 14 Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Baldwin Brothers Ormond Beach Chapel, 1185 W. Granada Blvd. #11, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, with Visitation starting at 10:00am, Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Masters Domain COGIC, 511 Fremont Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Graveside services will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 320 White St, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
