Obituary

Lydia Ann Phillips Flinchbaugh born April 26, 1949, passed away on December 19, 2020 in Ocala, FL.
Lydia was the daughter of William R. and Kathryn M. Phillips of Red Lion, PA who preceded her in death.
Lydia was a 1967 graduate of Red Lion Area High School. Lydia became a successful York, PA area
businesswoman and executive working 18 years for York Container Co. and 29 years for Delta Packaging,
Inc.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Flinchbaugh, her daughter, and son-in-law Christine Flinchbaugh
Gingerich and Jeffrey Gingerich, her granddaughter, Margaret Gingerich, her sister, Sandra Phillips
Shellenberger, 5 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins near and far. And even more new and
lifetime friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Phillips Snyder.
Lydia made birthdays special for family members and friends with a card and a song. Lydia enjoyed
boating, crabbing, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking on the Chesapeake Bay for over 20 years. Later in her
life she enjoyed playing golf and making friends at Red Lion Country Club, Outdoor Country Club and On
Top of the World. She also enjoyed the beaches and weather in Florida after retiring to Ocala in 2015.
Lydia has been freed from her pain and now it is up to her many family and friends to bear it. A
Celebration of Life will be held at On Top of The World, The Lodge pool pavilion, 8575 SW 87th Circle,
Ocala, FL on Saturday, January 16th, 2021 from 1pm to 4 pm. We will be outside due to Covid
regulations and drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served. We welcome all of Lydia’s many friends but
due to Covid rules please plan your arrival for an hour or less stay based on this schedule:
